François SAVATIER
A former officer from Saint-Cyr, he served in the Foreign Legion as a foreign officer and retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Since then, he has been a woodcarver in Mont-Jean-sur-Loire (Maine et Loire, France).
He is a sculptor, but not a salesman. Sculpting is his passion; he carves everything, but for himself: animals, mythical legends like dragons, celestial birds, etc.
When someone wants a work of his, they commission him and agree on the work to be created and its price.
Until now, he only participates in the monumental sculpture symposium in the town where he lives, once a year at the beginning of July.
The works created at the various symposiums are permanently exhibited on the walking trail in his town.
