Sergio Caldana
Originally from Brazil, he joined the Foreign Legion in 1987 and served until 1992, in the 13th DBLE and the 2nd REP.
After completing his contract, he returned to São Paulo, where he worked as a helicopter pilot.
As part of occupational therapy, he discovered model making, which he crafted exclusively from Coca-Cola cans. Gradually, his work became more precise and rich in detail.
His early creations were directly inspired by his career and memories: weapons, vehicles, and tanks used during his service in the Legion, aircraft from the Indochina and Algerian wars, but also his first helicopter, the one on which he earned his pilot's license, and the oil rig where he made one of his first landings. Unique and coherent, his creative universe is based on an immutable principle: to use no material other than the Coca-Cola can.
