When the AALE of Puyloubier
puts residents at the heart of the season
"Breaking with tradition, the Puyloubier Alumni Association shared a convivial cocktail dinner with the residents of the Institution. A look back at a successful evening."
The traditional back-to-school get-together, usually shared "at Les Platanes" around a paella or barbecue, was reinvented this year. To place the residents at the heart of this reunion, the association devised a new format: a cocktail dinner at the Domaine Capitaine Danjou residence, to which all the residents of the IILE were warmly invited. An evening designed as a moment of intimate connection between the Alumni Association and the Institution.
This meeting was chaired by the director of the IILE, Lieutenant Colonel Édouard Bros, whom we sincerely thank for making the venue available to us. Our gratitude also goes to Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Bouchez, FSALE delegate, for his continued presence.
The evening began at 7:30 p.m. with successive speeches by the president of the association, the FSALE delegate, and the director of the institution. A clear message emerged from these addresses: the solidarity uniting the AALE and the IILE is unwavering, opening up wonderful prospects for the future.

Immediately afterward, Michel Guenot, a member of the association and avid collector of military equipment, presented a deactivated weapon to Lieutenant Colonel (ret.) Gilles Bertaud, president of the SAMLE. This gesture of appreciation and remembrance was met with a resounding:
"Hands on it!"
Around forty members of the association and nearly thirty residents shared their memories and daily lives in a spirit of great camaraderie. The buffet, prepared by the Puyloubier caterer "La Table des Gourmets," was a resounding success. The bar was expertly managed by Fabienne, our treasurer. We extend our sincere thanks to her for her dedication and unwavering commitment to "a job well done," a value so dear to the Legion.
The evening concluded at 10:00 p.m. This new format, in the unanimous opinion of the IILE and the AALE, was a complete triumph, and one that everyone is eager to repeat.
